Today,
1st October is my son, Ch. Srinath’s birthday. We celebrated his birthday today
at our house, Srilekha, after 11 long years!
My
son left for Birmingham, U.K., for higher studies on 29th September 2008, two
days prior to his birthday. We hosted a farewell dinner for him on 28th Sep.
2008, and on 29th Sep. evening we celebrated his birthday, two days in advance.
Later that night we dropped him at the airport and bid him farewell at about
12:15 midnight. Since then he was never with us for his birthdays. However a
few times we celebrated his birthday at our house in his absence.
He returned
from the U.K. on 28th June 2019, and we got to celebrate his birthday today
happily with a dinner party, after 11 long years. The attached photographs are
of the modest celebration we had today.
