What a contrast, shining trees and suffering people.

Please see the following video first:

Look at these shining trees

See the happily dancing leaves

As it rains copiously in our twin cities

Move a little out of such green places

You see chaos in our twin cities

Numerous roads are waterlogged

Countless houses are inundated

People on the roads are suffering

Reaching the office or home is appalling

And at the houses flooded

Life is wretched

There is no water for drinking

Food has become challenging

Why this situation here

Year after year

In this so-called Bangaru Telangana

Claimed to be India’s greatest Rashtra

Who is to be blamed for this torture

Scientifically not the monsoon rain for sure

But then how dare anyone blame

The people who matter

Then who is to be blamed

Maybe a foreign hand

Maybe!

THE END.

A Tantalising Assemblage!

Fresh Silver Pomfret!

One among the best,

Saltwater fishes!

From the Indian seas,

In an enticing assemblage!

Adoringly spiced,

And marinated,

Precisely fried,

And prettily garnished,

For the family’s delight!

The bridge at Bhadrachalam is closed briefly, after 57 years!

The bridge on the Godavari River at Bhadrachalam is closed since yesterday, 14th July 2022, for the first time in 57 years. The bridge was inaugurated exactly 57 years ago on 13th July 1965 by our second President Sri Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

As the Godavari River is in spate and causing immense damage and misery in Maharashtra, Telangana and AP, the river level at Bhadrachalam has risen to 67 feet which is 14 feet above the highest danger level and has marooned Bhadrachalam town and the bridge here is under severe strain.

Hope normalcy will prevail soon.

Sunshower! Your superstitions unite the world!

Sunshower, you always catch us unawares

Surprised, we admire you from indoors

Stunned, we seek shelter when outdoors.

You last only for a little while

If any, you cause very little inconvenience

But you clean our environs

Leave spick and span everything

With your refreshing downpour

And your companion the Sun

Keeps everything glistening.

The lovely Rainbows that you create together

Keeps us longing for you forever

Especially during severe summer

When rain is rare

And summer heat is intolerable

You appear together

To bring us some respite.

You are popular the world over

And unite the countries with superstitions

And mostly the same beliefs

Like ours:

That a Sunshower is a time for weddings

Between animals…

"Yenda Vanalo, kukkala nakkala pelli"

(ఎండా వానలో కుక్కల, నక్కల పెళ్ళి)

Meaning Dogs and Foxes

Are marrying during the Sunshower!

Or it is “Kaki Pelli”

(కాకి పెళ్ళి)

This means Crows are getting married

During the Sunshower!
