People have voted with great enthusiasm
The verdict is awaited in two days
Exit Polls indicate a close finish
So I am
afraid of a bad end.
As in the past
The rich and power-hungry
Monster politicians
Will devour greedy
characterless winners…
Through atrocious horse-trading
Offering Crores of rupees
Or promising posts of profit
And this
Bangaru State is popular for such misdeeds.
It will be a mockery of democracy
Which can’t be prevented by any agency
Or the laws of the land
As we people
stand disappointed and fooled.
