Proud
to be an Indian, proud to Vote and celebrate Democracy forever. I and my family
never abstained from voting ever since we relocated to Hyderabad in 1981.
We
have voted 7 times in Andhra Pradesh State Assembly Elections and 3 times in
Telangana State Assembly Elections, in the years 1983, 1985, 1989, 1994, 1999,
2004 and 2009 (AP), and 2014, 2018 and 2023 (Telangana). That totals 10 State
Assembly Elections!
And
we have voted 10 times in the Parliament Lok Sabha Elections without a break,
in the years 1984, 1989, 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2004, 2009, 2014 and 2019.
Attached
are photographs of us happily displaying that we have voted and are celebrating
Election Day with sumptuous food!
As
we always voted early in the morning, we had the whole day to enjoy and relax…
many times we went out on long drives or a picnic. And this plan has become a
happy tradition for us to celebrate Election Day.
