Tonight I shall hold this little light of mine for my country’s solidarity and safety…

Preparing to stand with this little light of mine,

At the entrance of my house tonight,

In unity with millions of countrymen,

Similarly holding candles or diyas,

In front of their houses…

All across our large country,

To express our resolve to fight COVID,

Patiently, whatever the inconveniences,

And to offer prayers to our Gods,

To save us,

And the world from this pandemic,

And keep us happy and healthy.
