Today, 25th June 2017, according to our lunar calendar is Ashada Masam, Shukla Paksha Vidiya / Dwitiya, a very auspicious day when the annual festival of Ratha Yatra commences at Temples of Sri Jagannath, all over the country and at several other places in the world. The grandest and most popular one is of Puri Jagannath Temple, Odisha.
Ratha Yatra is celebrated at many Temples in our Twin Cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The most popular being Sri Jagannath Temple; Banjara Hills, Iskcon Temple; Nampally Station Road, Iskcon Temple; Secunderabad and at Sri Jagannayukula Gudi; General Bazaar.
We participated in the Ratha Yatra at Sri Jagannath Temple, Banjara Hills and Sri Jagannayukula Gudi, General Bazaar. Here is a glimpse of the grand arrangements and commencement of the Ratha Yatra Festival at Sri Jagannath Temple, Banjara Hills:
