Paradise Beach is one
of the must-visit places in Pondicherry. The peaceful and serene ambience of
this beach has contributed to its name as Paradise beach. The sand of the beach
is white and fine and the water is crystal clear. Bathing is safe in a certain
area of the beach; close to the shore, under the supervision of lifeguards. The
beach has nice shacks, changing rooms, showers and clean toilets. The
restaurant shack offers a variety of cuisines and beverages. The memory of this
beach will be etched in our memory for years to come.
This beautiful private
beach is accessible from Chunnambar boathouse. With an entry fee of Rs. 200/- +
GST per person a ferry service along River Chinnambar will take around 20 minutes
to reach the jetty at Paradise beach. The entry fee is for an entire day’s stay
at the beach if one so desires, and for the return trip to the Chunnambar boathouse.
There is entertainment for children at the boathouse and at the beach. The
shore is quite vast with lots of palm and coconut trees so one can plan and carry
some indoor and outdoor games to play along the beach or simply relax.
