Tribute to Aitzaz Hasan, a kind and brave boy.

Aitzaz Hasan! Your kindness towards fellow human beings and your love for peace in society and your courage in preventing a massacre at your school by a suicide bomber is extraordinary. At 15 years such high ideals are astonishing and commendable. I, Pakistan and the World are proud of you and we will never forget you and your bravery.
How wonderful it would be if you survived the blast to be amidst us and witness the applause and appreciation you are receiving from all parts of the world.
May your soul rest in peace.

Tribute to Uday Kiran...

Uday Kiran; very handsome and a good movie star, popularly known as hat-trick hero, just 33 years old and he is no more. Tragic, I feel very sad.
Whatever the reasons – professional and caste related suppression, isolation by film fraternity, financial or domestic problems; he should not have killed himself. He should have concentrated very strongly on finding ways to overcome his problems and worked in that direction instead of suicidal thoughts. He could have simply sold his flat and other properties and invested that amount wisely so as to lead a simple life on the returns.
Film industry is not a rosy field for many. It provides employment only on and off and there is always anxiety and anguish in between. And we have seen that towards old age most of them suffer.
It is also a tragedy that ugly actors young and old from big houses are thrust upon us after heavy makeup or cosmetic surgeries and a naturally handsome and good actor like Uday Kiran is abandoned.
Though he has acted in very few films that are about twenty, his friends and fans will always remember him. May his soul rest in peace.

About centuries-old Laad Bazaar of Hyderabad!

WOW! The merchandise and glitter!

Of Hyderabad’s Laad Bazaar,

A splendid bargain Paradise!

Beckons women; from time to time!

Laad Bazaar of Hyderabad is a very popular and centuries-old market! A grand shopping centre for women! It is located adjacent to Charminar along a kilometre-long road and in its bye-lanes. “Laad” in Urdu means lacquer and the market got its name as Laad Bazaar because from ancient times attractive bangles and other art and gift articles made of lacquer and embedded with bits of colour glass, pearls, semi-precious gems and stones were sold here.

Lacquer bangles are still sold here but the market is now mostly flooded with various jewellery - precious, semi-precious, imitation and fashion jewellery. There are countless shops selling such jewellery - bangles, bracelets, earrings, chains and necklaces and silverware, gold-embroidered sarees and fabrics, silk sarees, wedding dresses, all types of dresses for tiny tots to grown-ups, attractive handbags and slippers, perfumes, cosmetics and accessories like hair bands, clips, mehendi, henna and the list, in short, is all that women fancy!

May this unity lead us to a quicker victory.

May this unity,
Lead us to a quicker victory,
Against the marauders thrust upon us,
Over five decades ago; against our wishes,
And are today at their worst villainy.
