The Christmas Star!
Over the velvet hill of heavens,
The bejewelled nobles of the night
March in stately majesty, in quiet dignity.
And the hearts of the honoured ones
Watch this brilliant starry spectacle;
Reverence reigns supreme.
The star that guided the wise men that night
Settled over Bethlehem shining so bright.
The shepherds on the hillside watched in awe
That led to a manger of new-mown straw.
In a lowly stable unknown to men
As on they rushed past this cattle den,
But God had looked down from His city afar
And revealed His Son by the sign of the Star.
