To
save butterflies, grow and save flowers, there is no other way; butterflies
survive only on flowers…
Butterflies are such delicate creatures,
With wings of vibrant colours and features.
Their life span is but a mere month or two,
As they flutter and dance, just passing through.
But alas, the flowers they rely upon
For sustenance and hydration are gone.
Extinct or scarce, they can't be found,
Leaving the butterflies to flutter around.
So they've taken to (above pic) carrying
mineral water,
Drinking from it like it's some holy grail or
altar.
"Drink pure, live long," the
advertisements say,
But for the butterflies, it's a desperate play.
They hope that this pure water will sustain,
(though this is in vain)
Allowing them to live and fly again.
But time will tell if it's enough,
For the butterflies' struggle is tough.
We must do all we can to protect
These fragile creatures, so full of respect.
For the beauty they bring to our world is
great,
And it would be a shame to see them extinct.
