Very proud of Sunrisers Hyderabad victory.

Extremely happy that our home team, Sunrisers Hyderabad under the extraordinary captainship of David Warner, has clinched the IPL 2016 title by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final match yesterday, at Bangalore. In this very interesting Match our home team virtually choked RCB, to become Champions of IPL-2016 that is IPL-9.
The final scores: SRH won the toss and choose to bat and put up a massive total of 208/8. In reply RCB struggled to make 200/8.
This is the second time that Hyderabad has won IPL Championship. IPL-2 (2009) was won by Hyderabad’s Deccan Chargers by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wanderers Stadium near Johannesburg, South Africa, under the able captainship of Adam Gilchrist.
Congrats and thanks Sunrisers Hyderabad! for bringing honour to our City and State, and thus making us happy.

My Grandson, Ch. Atharv's 5th Month Birthday & Cradle Ceremony Party.

It is five months since we are blessed with a grandson, my son’s son. And we are having a wonderful time with him.
He has brought lots of happiness into our lives. It is about three months since he has started smiling and laughing very often, spreading smiles and more happiness.  Seeing him, holding him and playing with him is a very happy and big pastime.
His Naming Ceremony (as Atharv) on the 11th day after his birth and the Cradle Ceremony on the 21st day were performed at home amidst close family members. And this week on Sunday, 15th May 2016, two days after his 5th Month Birthday, we hosted a Dinner Party for family, relatives and friends to celebrate and introduce our grandson. Here is a photo-video of the Party:

A Crow Banquet!

Here is a Crow Banquet for the Political Party and the media that raised and covered the issue of Mr. Modi, our most honourable Prime Minister’s educational qualifications. Eating crow is a routine for them…hope someday GOD would serve them some wisdom.

A Very Special Cake!

Every Wedding Anniversary Celebration,
Is absolutely a happy occasion,
But as time passes,
The memory of it fades,
We hardly remember the Cakes,
However all details of the celebration,
Remain frozen,
In photographs,
To recall all happy events,
Of all past times.
But this year’s Anniversary Cake gift,
I shall never forget,
As it is from my grandson, Atharv!
A very sweet expression of love!
Reminiscing a few Anniversaries from the recent past:

Mother’s Day celebration at Srilekha.

Last evening we had a lively Mother’s Day Party at Srilekha, our house. Hope you all too have enjoyed the day with your mothers. Going by the depleted stocks of specific Mother’s Day gifts at the biggest gift shop in our City, countless posts of Mother’s Day Greetings on facebook and what seemed like partying traffic on the roads in the evening, many families have certainly celebrated Mother’s Day in a grand way. I am very happy and all mothers must be happy as Mother’s Day celebrations have become popular.
At our family Party there were four mothers present. We missed my daughter-in-law the youngest mother in the family and my grandson a baby of five months who are away at her mother’s place.
The attached photographs are of our party. This photo-blog post is to share our happy moments with family members who have missed the occasion and with well wishers like you.

Happy Mother’s Day!

To all Moms in my facebook circle and among my blog followers ‘A Very Happy Mother’s Day’ and wish that their families continue to extend abundant love and care to them forever:

Here is an article I wrote five years ago on Mother’s Day, conveying my greetings to my mother who was 91 years old then:

“Mathru Devo Bhava,
Pithru Devo Bhava”.
This Sanskrit Sloka means:
Revere your mother as GOD,
Revere your father as GOD.
The photographs in my blog post dated 7th May 2011, the link to which is towards the end of this article are of my mother who was 91 years old and the greetings therein are for her on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The concept of celebrating Mother’s Day is new to our country and gradually it is becoming very popular. We have many festivals and celebrations in India but none to thank mother for all that she does for us. The importance of mother in anyone’s life is so great that she is equivalent to GOD – “Mathru Devo Bhava”. We naturally love and respect her every day but do not have a specific day to celebrate and honour her; for taking care of us even at the ripe old age of 91, and thank her. Now with this Western culture of celebrating Mother’s Day coming into our lives; it has become a significant day for us too, to express our gratitude to mother and say a big THANK YOU for all that she does for us and make her as happy as possible.
“Ya Devi Sarva-Bhooteshu Mathru-Roopena SamsthitaNamastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai Namo Namaha”. This Sanskrit Sloka means “Salutations to the Divine Mother, who art manifest in every being’s existence as MOTHER. I worship thee, over and over and over again”.
Happy Mother’s Day!

There is no threat to our democracy.

Today these INC posters suddenly sprang out,
Soon after Congress MPs walked out of Parliament,
I see no reason for this poster and engagement,
Because to our democracy there is no threat,
Now or at any point of time in eternity,
Fight against Indira’s Emergency is testimony,
To the strength and safety of our democracy.
This poster is perhaps to foment anarchy,
And save from disgrace the family,
Allegedly involved in bribery.

Media assumptions of voters are normally wrong.

Media assumptions of voters are normally wrong. This happens often in India and today it is also happening in USA, in their Presidential Primary Elections 2016. Voters today can differentiate between good media and bad media and know what is best for them, that is why electoral propaganda and predictions by specially the bad media normally goes wrong.
On and off I have been following the ongoing USA Presidential Primary Elections. The Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s time to time tough utterances on immigration, unemployment, trade balance etc., were repeatedly projected against him by the media directly and through those against him.  And his opponents received lots of praise. This trend I observed has gone on for months as one State after another went to Polls. This sort of media coverage obviously did not have much effect on the Voters.  I think media’s negative coverage seemed wrong to the Voters and Donald Trump’s views and stand on various issues seemed correct. That is the reason why he has successfully beaten 16 competitors’ to become the Republican Party Presidential nominee. And as you may have already heard he is not a politician nor has ever held public office like the rest of them.
Now we will have to wait and watch the stand the majority of the US media would take for the Republican and Democratic Presidential Candidates. I believe whatever stand they take and propaganda they carry out, the majority of Voters will not be influenced by the media and will Vote for who they think is the best for their Country.
Now coming to our own media, most are biased. As reports suggest, some of them are political and are paid media. Some media houses are still not able to digest, even after two years, Mr. Modi and BJP’s grand scale victory in last general elections. Day in day out, they raise flimsy issues and give birth to controversies to defame Mr. Modi and the BJP Government.  Just few days back I read an irresponsible and illogically defaming statement in a magazine “MODI’s OUTDATED ARMY: 30-Year-Old Submarines, 35-Year-Old Guns and 40-Year-Old MiG-21s.”
I cannot predict who will win in our next General Elections but I am sure that if BJP comes to power once again, some news anchors especially of our English News Channels will suffer from severe mental and physical illnesses.
P.S. I am a layman as far as Indian and foreign politics are concerned, so if my opinion on media coverage of politics and politicians does not suit your views please excuse me. I do not wish to get into controversies.
