May today’s caution, peace and harmony last forever.

The Allahabad High Court pronounced its verdict on the Ayodhya dispute today evening. All countrymen have received the verdict in a cool and matured manner. May today’s caution, peace and harmony last forever. Perhaps for the first time in the country all political and religious leaders, the media, the industrialists and all those who matter in the country got together in appealing to the countrymen to maintain peace and harmony after the verdict and educated the countrymen on future legal options available to the litigants. Such unity and wisdom by all leaders and the countrymen is exemplary. This has prompted me to post this article. May we all live in such brotherly love and get rid of all the problems we and our nation face.
As I am writing this article I am reminded of a quotation on Peace and a nice Hindi Song from the film “Dhool Ka Phool”. It is a film of 1959, the lyrics are by Sahir Ludhianvi and the singer is Mohd. Rafi. I am sharing these with you; I hope you will find them interesting, specially the song.
“Peacefulness is an inner sense of calm, it comes from becoming still, in order to reflect and meditate on our inner wisdom and receive answers. A peaceful heart is one that is free from worry and trouble. It is becoming quiet so we can look at things quietly so we can more clearly understand them and thus come up with creative solutions. It is learning to live in the present.”
